Full-Time Position *Onsite*

Position Summary: As an Operations Specialist 1 at KCH Transportation, you will be responsible for securing carrier capacity and building strong relationships with carriers to ensure the efficient movement of freight. Your primary focus will be on full truckload (FTL) shipments, specifically dry van freight, while managing shipment tracking and tracing. You will collaborate closely with Account Managers to provide seamless transportation solutions and ensure top-tier service for our customers.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

• Source and secure carrier capacity by building relationships with reliable trucking partners  

• Track and trace all active shipments  

• Communicate with carriers and account managers to ensure on-time performance and problem resolution  

• Maintain carrier compliance by verifying insurance, safety records, and performance history  

• Leverage load boards and carrier networks to match freight with available capacity efficiently  

• Analyze carrier performance data to identify opportunities for improved service and stronger partnerships

• Strong communication skills (verbal and written) and the ability to build lasting relationships  

• Demonstrated ability to handle high-pressure situations and solve problems on the fly  

• Dependable, detail-oriented, and committed to delivering excellence  

• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred  

• Proficiency in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or similar logistics software is a plus
