Claims and Risk Analyst
Location: Chattanooga, TN | In Office
Start Date: ASAP
Position Summary:
The Claims & Compliance Analyst reviews claims to identify trends across customers, transportation methods, insurance coverage, and cargo types. This role evaluates claims to determine the best resolution strategy, develops action plans to support compliance, and assists in implementing programs that mitigate risk. By analyzing claim frequency by fleet size, cargo type, and coverage levels, the analyst helps strengthen compliance and reduce exposure.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Analyze and investigate complicated insurance claims.
Review new claims and reporting.
Uphold relationships and communicate effectively with company departments and clients.
Analyze claims and carrier nonconformance.
Assist in negotiating settlements.
Help develop claims and compliance action plans to reduce risk and frequency.
Analyze the merit of claims, support the strategy to resolve claims, and follow general standard operating procedures.
Perform case management functions to mitigate risk, improve efficiency, and enhance effectiveness.
Support the Director of Compliance and other service providers.
Coordinate actions within the organization to mitigate potential risk exposure.
Support implementation of approved risk management initiatives.
Produce monthly claims reports.
Competencies:
Demonstrate strong analytical prowess and attention to detail.
Ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously and manage time appropriately.
Proficient at data entry.
Ability to conduct objective analyses/assessments of claims.
Good working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Ability to quickly grasp and work new systems, processes, procedures.
Job requirements
Education/Experience:
3-5 years of Insurance industry experience or compliance for a trucking company and or 3PL.
Trucking industry experience in claims or compliance
Carrier compliance or claims experience with a 3PL
Insurance adjuster experience
OS&D experience
Insurance license in property or commercial lines
