Position Summary: 

The Cash Application Analyst is responsible for accurately applying incoming payments (via ACH, wire transfers, checks, etc.) to customer accounts in a timely manner. This role works closely with the accounts receivable, collections, and customer service teams to resolve discrepancies and maintain accurate financial records.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Apply incoming customer payments accurately to accounts using systems such as Revanova and Salesforce.

• Research and resolve unapplied payments, short pays, overpayments, and other discrepancies.

• Communicate with customers to obtain missing remittance details or clarify payment applications.

• Collaborate with collections and customer service teams to support the resolution of account issues.

• Reconcile unapplied cash and open credits on customer accounts.

• Maintain accurate, up-to-date customer account records in all financial systems.

• Assist with month-end close activities related to accounts receivable.

• Generate reports detailing unapplied payments, account balances, and payment application metrics.

• Identify trends and recurring payment issues, providing recommendations for process improvements.

• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.

Education/Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in cash applications or accounts receivable.

• Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

• Experience with Salesforce and/or Revanova preferred.
