Carrier Compliance Intern

Part Time Internship | *IN OFFICE*

Location: Chattanooga, TN

Compensation: $15/Hour

Position Summary: 

The Carrier Compliance Intern supports the Carrier Compliance team by assisting with the onboarding and monitoring of carriers to ensure adherence to company standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves reviewing carrier documentation, auditing profiles, supporting risk assessments, and maintaining accurate records in our Transportation Management System (TMS). The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and eager to build skills in compliance and logistics operations within a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the onboarding of new carriers by reviewing submitted documentation and verifying compliance with requirements

  • Perform preliminary audits on carrier profiles to identify potential compliance issues and escalate as necessary

  • Support the review and processing of override requests based on risk criteria and business justification

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date carrier records in the TMS

  • Collaborate with Operations and Risk Management teams to resolve compliance-related issues in a timely manner

  • Track and report on compliance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs)

  • Support ad hoc projects and audits as assigned by the Carrier Compliance Manager

Job requirements

Education/Experience:

  • Current enrollment in a college or university program, preferably in Business, Supply Chain, Risk Management, or a related field

  • Comfortable working in a structured, detail-oriented environment

  • Prior office experience or familiarity with compliance, auditing, or logistics systems is a plus
