We are seeking a dependable After Hours Specialist to support our operations overnight. Position Summary: 

The After Hours Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring 24/7 coverage for carrier operations by overseeing shipment tracking, updates, and carrier fall-offs during non-business hours. This position is vital to ensuring service continuity issue resolution, and overall customer satisfaction overnight.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Track and trace shipments in real-time using logistics software and tracking tools

• Monitor and update the status of shipments, ensuring timely delivery and identifying potential delays

• Communicate shipment statuses to internal teams and provide proactive updates regarding delays or issues

• Handle light customer communication, offering updates on shipment progress

• Investigate discrepancies or delays in shipments and collaborate with appropriate parties to resolve issues promptly

• Escalate complex or unresolved issues to senior management or relevant departments

• Accurately record and file all shipment documentation

• Assist in maintaining updated tracking files for audits

• Coordinate and secure early morning pick-ups in cases where a carrier falls off, ensuring loads are promptly reposted through Fleetworks and handled by their booking team as needed

• Re-book weekend shipments impacted by carrier fall-offs, utilizing Fleetworks to ensure timely and efficient carrier coverage

• Some college coursework preferred

• Experience in logistics, transportation, or operations preferred

• 1+ year of experience in a similar role or within a 3PL environment is a plus
